Anna St. Louis offers up a second single from her new album In The Air today, leaning in once more to the melancholy and lonesome breezes that fueled previous single, “Phone.” “Better Days” has a country lilt to it, a veneer of twang that socks the listener in the stomach with an ache of loss, a gnawing need for comfort. St. Louis’ new album is soft-focus stunner, eyeing an expanse of road with a head full of regret. “Better Days” captures this quality perfectly, and paired with Keven Louis Lareau’s sun-hazed video, it makes for a perfect sigh on a Tuesday afternoon. The new album, In The Air, is out June 9th from Woodsist/Mare.
