Ty Segall – “Fantastic Tomb”

Ty Segall’s back in the seat of fuzz once again. Following the delightful crunch of the debut album from Freckle, his collaboration with Cory Madden, Segall is back with a new single and news of an upcoming record for Drag City. Tumbling through the exhaust fumes of glam and into a ‘70s rock shudder that’s got some sweat and denim draped over its shoulders, “Fantastic Tomb” ferries Ty towards some of his biggest riffs for some time. The song revs to life with a chug and a smirk, before an acoustic bridge busts it wide open, washing over the listener with the kind of pop magic that runs down the spine in shivers.
