Tonolo – “High Road”

An unexpected country charmer in the headphones today courtesy of Minneapolis’ Tonolo. A soft focus, cosmic country gem, “High Road,” saunters through the speakers with a sigh that ripples on the air like late autumn breath. The band, the moniker of Connor Johnson, is fitted out with a few familiar names including RSTB faves Jon Catfish DeLorme and Keven Louis Lareau. Like the latter’s work, the song has a penchant for the softer sides of the Canyon, backporch country that’s buttoned down for the evening, wrapped in supple slides and an incense curl of flute. The new single is out now for all the streamers, queue it up where you listen the most, but definitely keep an eye on Tonolo.
