A third single off the upcoming debut from The Tubs only solidifies the record’s status among the most anticipated titles of the year. The band pulls members from Joanna Gruesome and Ex-Void, sliding into some of the same indie pop patterns, but embracing a more jangled path that swerves between the American and Aussie college corners. “Wretched Lie,” finds them exploring shades of The Chills, The Windbreakers, Verlaines among the more marquee janglers of the time. Dead Meat is out January 27th from Trouble In Mind.
