The Crooked Rugs – “Chasin’ The Wind”

A loose Cosmic American ramble out of Colorado this morning as the new single from Fort Collins’ The Crooked Rugs hits the speakers. The band’s new album Hear & Now is on the way this week and “Chasin’ The Wind” builds some nice anticipation for the record. The cut starts out slow and breezy, picking through a slight country cadence with mountain-cooled harmonies laced over the top. As the band builds steam the song starts to bubble, shaking off the cool air by the end for a blistered bout of guitar that brings an ultraviolet burn to the speakers. The new album is out November 8th.
