A second offering from the upcoming Sylvie record hits this week. The EP, which spawned from an Ian Matthews cover, shared last month, is a collection of songs that celebrate the mellow overlap of country, AOR, and Laurel Canyon folk-rock. The project brings together a trio of songwriters, each taking on songs on the EP. “Falls on Me” lets Marina Allen take the reigns, and her silken delivery expands on the works of her Fire-released album from earlier in the year while still encompassing the aesthetics of Sylvie. The band pairs the cut with the sepia and sandalwood feelings of the video that feels cut right out of an unreleased ‘70s documentary. The EP is out October 1st from Terrible Records.
