Stephen Bailey – “The Wind”

This one is quickly climbing the ranks of my most anticipated of 2022. Perth songwriter Stephen Bailey has already caught my ear with the excellent first single of of his upcoming G.G. Rider, but cements the anticipation with the pastoral sway of “The Wind.” The country calm of the track strays far afield of his work with Mt. Mountain, trading in their arid heaviness for the cool breezes of slide guitar and flute. The song lopes along with an ease that seeps out of the speakers and straight into the soul. The new record is out November 25th from Third Eye Stimuli.
