Seawind of Battery – “Dreamscaper”

A second single slides out today from RSTB favorites Seawind of Battery. Like previous single “New Moon,” the song is anchored by beat, letting go of some of the ambient country connotations that have been a part of Seawind’s sound. The propulsion still underscores a honeyed glow of instrumental Americana, though. Swirling guitars and the buttered licks of lap steel courtesy of Jarrod Annis, envelop the listener, a euphoric cocoon that’s hard to leave once the last strains slip into the ether. The new record, East Coast Cosmic Dreamscaper, is out August 2nd from Warhen records and, if you’re around the Hudson Valley area, Seawind of Battery will be at Deep In The Valley, August 10th.
