Scott Hirsch – “When Things Fall Apart”

Very nice to see RSTB fave Scott Hirsch on the schedule for 2025. Today finds Hirsch with a new single and the announcement of a new album on the way in May. “When Thing Fall Apart” burns off the boogie that’s marked the last couple of release from Scott. Creeping out from under the cover of darkness to peer at the sun on the hills, the song takes its slow shuffle through corners of soul, adding in a warm dab of horns to the mix. Scott’s admitted that the record is his ‘mid-life crisis record’ and those themes of disillusion thread their way through “When Things Fall Apart.” Recorded with a crack team at Sausalito’s famed Record Plant, (now 2200 Studios, the new record marks a chapter for Hirsch that shirks expectations and emerges from a cocoon of self-consciousness. The new record, Lost Padres, is out March 21st from Echo Magic.
