Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs – “Mr. Medicine”

It’s good to see UK ground shakers Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs back in action this month. The band helps knock loose the last days of summer revelry, ushering in a season of darkness on “Mr. Medicine.” The song picks up on the band’s balance of poisoned thunder and prog excess. “Mr. Medicine” lets loose the hammer-down drive of their guitar armada, rooted in a legacy of Sleep and Motorhead. The band completes the homage with wood-scratched vocals from Matt Baty. Underneath the storm, the band lets a cloud of keys push this from the straight stoner riff rabble into headier prog waters. The new album, Land of Sleeper, is out February 17th from Missing Piece Group Records and Rocket Recordings with a nice dose of cover art from RSTB fave Callum Rooney.
