Loose Tooth – “Walk Away”

It’s been a few years since I’ve heard the Aussie pop snap of Loose Tooth, but the band has been busy working on songs while letting life grow around them. Longtime friends and bandmates Etta Curry & Nellie Jackson keep their effervescent sound on new single “Walk Away.” The band’s spare aesthetics drive the song, wobbling on bass and a crisp snap of drums before the glint of synths and some sweet harmonies push the single home. It’s hard not to smile at the band’s city wandering video as well, driving the pair around city blocks with the awkward stares of onlookers barely phasing them. Loose Tooth was always a hidden gem among a blur of Aussie indie and it’s really great to see ‘em back. The new album, New Age, is out July 18th from Blossom Rot Records.
