L’Eclair & Klaus Johann Grobe – “Lotus”
by Andy
A slippery synth meetup from two familiar names around here. Swiss psych-funk collective “L’Eclair hit Ritmo Studios in the Swiss Mountains for a new piece with kindred spirits Klaus Johann Grobe in tow. The song dips into jazz-psych and German Progressive territory, locking into rhythm early on and letting it roil the bands’ synths, streaked with neon and night. “Lotus” spews retro-futuristic fumes, laying the listener into the midst of computer guided grooves that feel like they’re siphoned from the ‘70s and early ‘80s. The new single is out now, mixed by Woods’ Jarvis Taveniere and available now from Stone Pixels.
