Josie – “My Boy and I”

Copenhagen indie pop pounders Josie just cropped up on a great single from Precious Recordings of London and the band quickly turns around news on a debut for Perennial Death/K Records. The band doesn’t lose an ounce of the urgency that permeated that early single, still bounding through the speakers with the spirited sprint of Talulah Gosh and Tiger Trap, elastic indie pop that’s both sweet and serrated. “My Boy and I” tumbles and tosses pop around the room, but never stumbles in its grasp of pop hooks and honeyed harmonies. Get this one high on your new band radar. The new record, A Life On Sweets Alone, is out September 26th from K Recs and Perennial Death.
