Jeremy Bradley Earl – “Days Turn Around”

The second single from Jeremy Earl’s solo EP seeps out today, slipping around the listener like a shield against the Spring rain. Like the first single from the EP, cut away from the cradle of Woods, “Days Turn Around” returns Earl to a more stripped back sound, feeling more akin to the How To Survive In and At Rear House days. The song skews tender, tossed by winds and left slightly bruised. A bed of plunking electronics ruffles the song’s easy air, leaving a few unkempt threads poking out from under its surface, a welcome bit of rumple added back to Earl’s songwriting. The new EP accompanies a solo tour which kicks off here locally. If you’re around Tubby’s at the end of the week, definitely grab a ticket as he pairs with the legendary Daniel Higgs for this run. The EP is out March 21st from Woodsist.
