Jack Erin Brown – “Code Grey”

Another one that slipped out when the holidays were in full swing, “Code Grey” is the first single from the upcoming debut from Jack Erin Brown. Slung between the German Prog pulsars emanating out of Ashra and Cluster and the new class acolytes like L’Eclair and Klaus Johann Grobe, the cut hurtles the listener through hypnotic pulses, leaving ‘em wrapt with repetition and picking through the card catalog with its affinity for ‘70s Library Music aesthetics. The video follows picks up on the themes of hallucinogenic nostalgia, collaging a barrage of images that feel fleeced from late night half-dreams dosed in front of the television. The new album, Door 154, is out 1/31 from Nudie Records and Tunnel Records.
