HITS – “1-5-8”

Real excited to see RSTB faves HITS back with news of a new album today. The Bay Area band thickens up their indie-pop on the fuzzed and fizzed new cut “1-5-8.” Often just adjacent to some of the softer strains coming out of their city, it’s great to hear the band get a bit brash on the new single, lighting a little fire under Jen Weisberg’s soft-hearted vocals. HITS balance hooks and heat, letting the guitars growl through the cut with a halo of synths and the popcorn snap of drums pushing it along. The new album, World of Dirt, is out August 23rd from Paisley Shirt Records.
