Following quite quickly on the just released score to the BBC series The Gallows Pole, Swedish psych hydra Goat return with a new album proper for their longtime home at Rocket Recordings. The first cut out of the gate is the dark, shrouded grind of “Unemployment Office.” The song is fuzz-gutted and hung on an insistent groove, gnawing at the speakers with a rabid tenacity. Atop the fray is a liquid light lacing of guitar, letting the listener back into the lysergic arms of the band’s psychedelic sway. They’ve established themselves as a constant of the heavy psych rotation and there’s no indication that they’ll let up on the upcoming Medicine, out October 13th from Rocket Recordings.
