Editrix – “The Big E”
by Andy

A blistering new cut from Editrix finds the trio cooking the crucible once again, welding jagged riffs and jittery fretwork to Wendy Eisenberg’s contrastingly calm vocals. The band’s exercises in contradiction have always been at their core, but here things come to a head with an amphetamine plunge into icy waters. The song’s focus is on the alien feeling of aging, examining the palpable culture gaps between generations. The listener is launched into the song, hurtled and humbled, but always anchored by Eisenberg’s silken tether in the storm. The new record, The Big E, is out July 25th from Joyful Noise.
