Best Bets – “Olympic Sprinter”

A power pop sparkler out of Christchurch arrives via the always on top of it Meritorio Records. With an ‘80s pop sheen, the song blends snap back guitars and vocals so clean you could lay out lunch on ‘em. An absolute gem of a track, it’s pretty hard to shake the top down pop of Best Bets. Featuring members of Transistors and Salad Boys, the band caught the ear of local pop cabal Melted Ice Cream (who co-release this one locally) and the band recorded their debut On An Unhistoric Night alongside NZ producer Brian Feary (Wurld Series, Nervous Jerk). Gonna want to keep sights on this one as more singles roll out with the album arriving on April 29th.
