The long-awaited follow-up to Bananagun’s debut gets an announce today and the Aussie band is back in the burble, turning jazz-psych, lounge and freakbeat into a heady sonic stew. The first single from the new album is propelled by a percussive pound, rippling with sticks and hands underneath the band’s bounty of flutes and the reclined funk and fuzz bass that’s made them favorites since their debut. The new album, Why Is The Color of the Sky?, is out November 8th from Full Time Hobby, Anti-Fade, and P-Vine. Check out the swirling psychedelics of the video for “Free Energy” above.
