Another excellent entry to the ambient country / Cosmic Americana axis from Oakland’s Aux Meadows. The band’s new tape flutters between the melted road tar high body hum of late August and a more mobile twang roundup. Perfect for the particular weather we find ourselves mired in at this very moment. The opener from their eponymous new tape starts out with a driving guitar before dissipating into the ethers only to be whisked away on the very whisper of a breeze rising over the horizon. The new cassette is sold out, but digital remains and should find its way into your collection.
