Anand Wilder – “Delirium Passes”

Been a little while since I had Yeasayer in mind, but I always had a soft spot for the psych-pop of the band and as the band has begun cultivating solo works following their dissolve in 2019, the most promissing seem to be coming from guitarist/vocalist Anand Wilder. Following on his first solo outing in 2014, “Delirium Passes” heralds a new album on the way early next year. The song offers up a lush vision of psych-pop, cool and verdant, feeling in line with the kind of gentle, sun-kissed works that Joe Wong or The Babe Rainbow have been cooking up. Though there’s still a connection to the stacked harmonies and synth-heavy propulsion of Yeahsayer in their prime. The new album’s date is yet to be set but will be out soon from Last Gang.
