Almond Joy – “San Francisco”

I called out another single from this excellent new EP from San Francisco’s Almond Joy, and the band return with a new video for a jaunty jangler that extols the virtues of their hometown. A candy colored video accompanies the clip, smearing the strums in kaleidoscopic joy. The band offers up a stripped and sunny jangler with pop n’ snap drums underneath their clean cut jangles and fuzz leads. There’s a bit of aught’s indie simplicity in their sound, but taped down tight with a cellophane seal of Paisley Pop. The new EP, Oh Henry, is out October 28th from Perennial Death.
