Herb Lore – “Dialogue With The Mother”

Following an entrancing work of psychedelic folk steeped in ambient touches for Urthwork, Brooklyn’s Herb Lore cues a record up for the ever impressive Inner Islands. The first single is draped in foggy meditation; recorded in the humid hollows of Summer and sequestered away in worlds of fantasy and figment. The record mixes patient acoustics with the soft caress of field recordings, picked up in journeys to Oregon and Newfoundland. The first peek into the record, “Dialogue With The Mother” finds the Lore calmly climbing out of the darkness, an ode for dawn or dusk, following the nocturne fauna to and from their slumber. The band’s last was an engrossing listen and from these few moments, there’s a deeper journey on the way. The new album, Mysticism, is out March 27th from Inner Islands.
