Yaryu – “Asobe”

Centripetal Force has been building up to an amazing autumn release schedule and they add another stunner with the announcement of a new album from Japanese collective Yaryu. Drenched in cool flutes and aqueous keys, Yaryu blends jazz, new age, and humid atmospherics into the kind of sweet serenity that should appeal to listeners with Maya Ongaku, Prairiewolf, and Carlos Niño already on the speakers. The collective draws in some heady names, culling members from De Lorians and Sundays & Cybel with Makoto Kawabata kicking in to contribute to the record. The first single from the upcoming, For Damage, finds the band slinking through the ether, corralling spiritual jazz shivers with delicate skill. The new record finds its way out October 25th from Centripetal Force, Cardinal Fuzz, and Ramble Records.
