A lovely piece out of Finland from the solo guise of Kemialliset Ystävät’s Jan Anderzén. The folk icon has created several albums under his Tomutonttu moniker, and with a seventh album on the rise, Anderzén gives us a bit of the calm centering we all need about now. “Malta lausua “AH” burbles with a natural wonder, utilizing synths to create an artificial forest of croaks and clatter that surround the mind with a woodland wonder. Flutes and bell tones lull the listener towards a meditative trance, musing on Anderzén’s inspirations of whether electricity smelled different in the ‘80s and other sense memory puzzles. The new album, Hoshi is out December 2nd.
