The second single out of the upcoming new album from The Medium pushes away from the country touches of the title track, embracing the band’s power pop core. “Golden Angels” winds itself up before the chorus explodes into layered harmonies and guitar froth. Knotted riffs rush the song through the speakers, a stampede to the end that hits like a confetti canon to the back of the brain. The band’s new album, City Life, is out August 23rd from Earth Libraries.
