Meritorio remains on top of the best indie pop and they bring back a favorite from their roster with a new album from The Maureens. The Dutch band hits the ‘90s power pop and jangle charms pretty hard, and their last album spent quite a long time on the turntable here. The second single from their new album finds the band right back in the ranks of sunshine-soaked pop. “Me & My Friend” sways in the coming Spring breezes, a bouquet of harmonies, jangles, and hummable hooks. The song sits nicely among the upcoming Don’t Give Up, which finds its way to the world May 29th from Meritorio.
