The Hanging Stars – “The Glasshouse”

After teaming with ‘60s folk legend Bonnie Dobson last year, UK faves The Hanging Stars teased some new music of their own with the single “Sister of the Sun.” They follow that up with news of a new album today and a new single to match, “The Glasshouse.” The band’s country roots still spar nicely with their penchant for ‘90s jangled hooks, turning the track into a pop-glossed strummer that spends quite a bit of time rattling around the brain. They cosmic coat the break, dip the listener in some glimmer n’ glow before dipping right back into the power of a solid guitar hook and a handful of harmonies. The new song sidles into the mix of the upcoming Just A Day, produced by Teenage Fanclub’s Gerard Love, and out June 19th from Loose Music.
