Taste – “To Be Young”
by Andy
A second single dips out from the debut record by Taste, the solo guise of Oli Lipton (Now, Cindy). Slipping on the velvet sleeves of New Age and running through the gauntlet of Bay Area indie pop, Lipton squares Nikki Sudden laments with Kelley Stoltz swagger. “To Be Young,” pines but doesn’t pout, a jangler draped in ennui and stitched up with a tape-scuffed exterior. Taste’s debut, 1/2 Fantasy, a kind of odds ’n sods of his home recordings is out May 29th from Tough Love.
