Resavoir & Matt Gold – “Canopy”

The East Coast is too cold to properly let this one melt in, but when the warm breezes blow, the new record from Resavoir & Matt Gold is gonna hit pretty hard. The first single finds the pair locked in a vernal dance of guitar and sax. The song is set into a pastoral palette of strings, wound up in groove, and whisked away on soprano trills from Tim Bennett. Holding the line between ECM and Library music, the song beckons the listener into the collaborative new record, dancing with light and air. The pair’s new record, Horizon, is set to land May 23rd on International Anthem, just in time to really let the sounds soak into that Spring air.
