Onyon – “Egg Machine”
by Andy
Digging into the second single from German punk pounders Onyon today. Following their eponymous tape’s boisterous reception among those that look for a bit of squirm with their sear, the band readies a new album for perennial favorite label Trouble In Mind. “Egg Machine” offers up an ode to a quaint convenience, extolling the virtues of the name checked vending machines that dot the rural town squares of Germany. The cut curtails the band’s usual synth ripple in favor of a straight-forward crinkle-cut vein-fry, pushing the pulse and letting the band’s jagged guitars trade barbs with Ilka
Kellner’s vocal volleys. The band’s new record, Last Days On Earth, arrives October 13th from TiM.
