Gun Outfit – “So Easy To Love”

The second single from Gun Outfit’s ambitious new album Process and Reality unfolds with patient pacing. With a Western shiver and gauzy textures, the band blends Americana and Shoegaze into a heat-glazed swelter on “So Easy To Love.” The guitars wind around the listener in tightening coils, but the danger goes unnoticed as the vaporous vocals of Carrie Keith keep the listener entranced through the last moments. The album took shape over a longer time period than in the band’s past, evolving over the course of years before getting laid down to tape on an 80-acre ranch under the awning of California wildfire smoke. The new record winds their apocalyptic vision onto two LPs, out May 8th from Upset The Rhythm.
