Consumables – “Infinite Games”

Another bout of elastic indie out of Brooklyn’s Consumables lands today. I enjoyed the band’s first single and the second, co-written and produced by Bodega’s Ben Hozie lands pretty prescient for these times. A song rooted in the unraveling sense of control, doused in alienation and an edge of hopelessness feels like just the mirror on the madness that we deserve this week. A little more relaxed, a little more lived-in than the last single, but still bubbling with the kind of immediacy that I’ve come to expect from releases on We Are Time. The band’s new album, Infinite Games, is out March 7th.
