Chet Sounds – “Cut From A Different Cloth”
Coming from the Aussie Americana connection that wraps up Hot Apple Band, Winter McQuinn, and The Bures Band, Chet Tucker’s Uplifting Bell Ends tributary Chet Sounds returns with a new album for the always solid Third Eye Stimuli. Tucker’s solo guise finds him slipping on the sleekness of the ‘70s, and the first single off of his new record feels glossier than the last. The scuffed solo moniker finds Tucker suturing bedroom beats to quicksilver soul, but this time the blanket of fog pulls back just a touch. It’s still got a humble snap in the background but the arrangements are built bigger than his bedroom walls might let on. “Cut From A Different Cloth” gleams with a late night lacquer, flashing past the neon with a touch of summer in it’s hair. The new cut crops up on his third album, Tying Up Loose Ends, out March 6th from Third Eye Stimuli.
