Aux Meadows – “Rooms Without End”

RSTB faves Aux Meadows return to the fold this week, providing a little sonic solace with their ambient country aura. “Rooms Without End” tags a bit of rhythm into the headspace, slipping a lightly percolated synth below the steel and strums that occupy their wide open vistas. Like slow-motion cosmic calls to faraway plains, the song blinks in LED precision until Kevin Van Yserloo’s violin comes to crumble the calm with a dose of restrained anguish. The new album, Draw Near, is out March 7th from Eiderdown.
