Artificial Go – “Circles”
by Andy
A warmer offering starts the singles pack from Cincinnati’s Artificial Go. Following the sparse post-punk of their 2024 debut, new cut “Circles” keeps the rhythmic pulse in place but adds a fuller frame of jangles to the aesthetic. Bouncing off of rubberized bass, the song bounds through the speakers with a woozy sway and a slight singe of sax. The single splits the seams between past purveyors of jostled post-punk (Look Blue Go Purple, Oh-OK) and newer antipodean touchstones like Primo and Parsnip. The new single helps usher the listener into their new album, Musical Chairs, out May 16th from Feel It Records.
