Providence Popfest 2026 Preview

Always fun to give a heads up on a good fest, and friends from Time Thief have a banner fest happening in just a few short weeks at AS220 in Providence. The fest takes place from May 1st – May 3rd and features a huge cross-section of RSTB favorites including

The Softies, Pylon Reenactment Society, Linda Smith, Sweeping Promises, Good Flying Birds, Jeanines, Lightheaded, Touch Girl Apple Blossom, Galore, Outer World, Strange Passage, Dear Nora, MESH, Anna Altman, Older Brother, Emotional World, Cursor, Sun Urchins, Future Stories, hidden driver, Try The Pie, Mirah, 22º Halo, Betty Brite, Malasada, NOVA ONE, Beachplums, and Time Thief themselves

There’s one more special guest TBA and the whole lot will be rounded up on a comp that the fest is selling with All proceeds will be donated to AMOR. The fest is coordinated in conjunction with Best Brother Record Shop in Hingham, MA.

“Alliance to Mobilize Our Resistance (AMOR) is a nonprofit organization in Rhode Island that organizes to interrupt state violence and supports people impacted by the inhumane immigration system. You can check out two tracks from the compilation here today, with cuts streaming from Linda Smith and Good Flying Birds. The rest will be out when the fest launches with Cassette and CD versions available alongside the digital, from Musical Fanzine and Lost Sound Tapes.
