Jeffrey Alexander & The Heavy Lidders – “From Loch Raven To Fells Point”

Some celebration is in order with news today of an additional entry to the Heavy Lidders catalog, landing early this Summer. The prolific RSTB favorites have been packing the speakers around here since 2019 and each new release digs them deeper into the intersection between Dead-space tangles and sun-cured visions of Meat Puppets and Always August. The band’s latest wafts in on an afternoon haze of heat stroke and singe, a languid and limber vision of psychedelic sway. Alexander floats above the fray as the band gnarls riffs into driftwood shapes, baked clean by the band’s indomitable heat. The new record, Liquid Donnon, arrives on June 12th, a split from Riot Season and Feeding Tube.
