Linda Smith – “So Long Ago”

RSTB faves Upset The Rhythm pitch a perfect pairing. Just off their recent tour together, indie outlier and legend in her own right Linda Smith pairs up with East Coast jitter-janglers The Smashing Times. The split 7” leads off with a slow, simmering cut from Smith. Awash in keys and Smith’s lamenting vocals, the song sets the single on the right path. Paired with another new cut from Smith and two, shiny new tracks from The Smashing Times, the new single sets sail on August 15th. On the personal side, I saw Smith perform earlier this year at Tubby’s in Kingston, NY (best venue) and I’d implore you to go catch a show anytime she comes near!
