King Tuff – “Twisted On A Train”

Another nice surprise this week is news of a new album from longtime RSTB fave King Tuff. The first single out of the gate is glossed and tossed in some glam-psych riffs. There’s a little less chaos at the crux of “Twisted On A Train,” but it still retains the signature smirk and singe that has always made Kyle’s work an unyielding delight. Over the years he’s pulled away from the garage-grit and embraced a gloss, but the new album works to find a balance between the two. There’s still a coat of polish, but this time he’s less worried about getting some of the gravel stuck in the shellac. The new album, MOO, is out March 27th from MUP Records.
