Honey Radar – “Chelsea Frame”

It’s always a joy to have a new cut from Honey Radar emerge from the torn portal of tape hiss, and the band lines up a new EP with first single “Chelsea Fame.” An obfuscated jangler, the cut reclines into an equal tug and pull from the ‘90s E6 psych-pop bin and the inviting shadows of the Paisley Underground. The jangles sway the listener, but the band keeps things from getting too breezy with an acid dip of fuzz, eating away at the edges with a daylgo hunger. The song opens up the band’s new EP, Reclining Psych-Out, a limited-edition 12 that’s out directly from the band. The new EP hits shelves on August 1st. Let this one punch a few jagged holes in the speakers, then sit back and let it sink in under the skin.
