GUV – “Warmer Than Gold”

Furthering his tack into the Britpop winds, GUV’s second single off the upcoming Warmer Than Gold burbles with a slightly baggy beat. The title track from the new record is a bit hazier than the first glimpse of the new album, but no less sublime. The song slips along on the current of it’s beat, as warm and inviting as the title might suggest. The vocals mist over the top of the burble, filling the song with a heady humidity that pulls this from the radio-ready end of the genre and into territory occupied by Chapterhouse and Swervedriver’s psychedelic sway. The cut crops up on the new album, Warmer Than Gold, out January 30th from Run For Cover.
