Sunjammer – “Quit”

The last time Sunjammer was around RSTB, they were wielding the cool down calm of “New Bird,” a song that showcases their tenderness, but also their ability to stretch a jam into something sublime. They kick the pace on album opener “Quit” today, a cut rooted in the mud-flat fire that burns underneath their country-coated jam exterior. With a pound in the piano built for the barroom and a nice toast on the twang, the song tears open the ties on their eponymous new album. The record is out November 14th from Tall Texan.
