Weak Signal – “Rich Junkie”

The always excellent Weak Signal follows up on their searing first single from Fine with an even heavier hit to the ‘90s pipeline. Soaked in grease and levying a sweaty leer at the listener, “Rich Junkie” rumbles out of the speakers on a ferocious riff. Bones delivers a dust dry missive with just a touch of smirk in his paean to the untouchable addict, buffered by money and a tendency to get slippery on the trigger. Weak Signal remain NYC’s flagship fighters. They might’ve tried to spit cleaned the outer boroughs and pressed the Village under glass, but there are still things crawling in the crevices and Weak Signal’s got the chronicles to keep ‘em honest.
