The Smashing Times – “Tarts and Vicars”

Still playing a bit of catch-up on last week, but there’s more great singles in store and RSTB faves The Smashing Times announce a new album on the way this winter. Keeping up their tradition of late-in-the-year releases, the Times queue one up for November, letting us in on the fun with new single “Tarts and Vicars.” They keep things jangled and jovial, evoking UK ‘80s indie with the best of ‘em. With nods to Cleaners from Venus, and the perennial aura of The Television Personalities, the band captures the kind of charms that have kept ‘em in high rotation these last few years. The new album, Mrs Ladyships and the Cleanerhouse Boys, is out November 1st from K Records.
