Sunfruits – “Believe It All”
Following the glam crunch of “Made To Love,” Melbourne’s Sunfruits return with the psych-pop splendor of “Believe It All.” Letting quite a bit of sunshine into the band’s sound, the song finds drummer/producer Gene Argiro in the vocal chair, echoing similar territory to fellow Earth Libraries labelmates The Mellons. Organs pulse, the bass shuffles and Argiro’s vocals soar over the top of the track with a resplendence that’s heavily indebted to ELO but lands pretty squarely in the territory of The High Llamas covering Tommy James’ “Draggin’ The Line.” The new single is out as as split between Third Eye Stimuli and Earth Libraries. Check out the soft-focus sparkle of the video, directed by Jack Ralph and Gene Argiro.
