Rattle – “Your Move”

This got a bit lost over the US holiday but now that eyes and ears are aligned, it’s time to let the fifteen-minute sound bath of Rattle wash over you. The band’s new album goes long on its first single, “Your Move,” a steadily building playground of percussive pound underscoring crushed velvet vocals from Katharine Eira Brown & Theresa Wrigle. With a crisp, airy atmosphere, “Your Move” leads the listener far over the garden wall and into a world rife with incantation and mystery. The drums draw the listener in — urgent, but inviting, letting the listener get lost in the layered thicket that Rattle weaves. The new album, Encircle, is out February 28th on Upset The Rhythm.
