Power Supply – “Let’s Do This and Let’s Do That” 
Got another nugget off of the upcoming Power Supply record today and the band cranks their VU rumble filter all the way up on this one. The band, which is largely comprised of members of well-loved Aussie band The Ooga Boogas, has an album on the way from Goner/Anti-Fade in October. “Let’s Do This and Let’s Do That” takes a conversational approach, laying out a kind of call to arms for gathering with friends over a gnarled saunter of a song. Leon Stackpole does his best Reed impression for this one, swaying in the breeze in a hammock delivery and giving the song a kind of indelible cool. The band’s debut In the Time of the Sabre-toothed Tiger will released on October 22 and I can assure you that its nothing but gems of this caliber straight through.
