Pearl Charles – “Does This Song Sound Familiar?”

Perennial RSTB fave Pearl Charles returns with another splendid single, splitting the hairs between Canyon Folk, Country, and the late-night flicker of disco. “Does This Song Sound Familiar” spills its rhythms away from the dazzling lights of the dancefloor and across the alley to the blue collar barroom, mingling its stomping rhythms with the saturated smoke curls, wood paneled woes, and a jukebox twang that stirs yer sorrows into a seven and seven. It’s the kind of song that begs solo dancing under the flicker of beer branded lights, interrupted every so often by late August air that spills in through the swing of the door.
